Our Amazing Team
Aaron & shannon Chidester
Aaron & Shannon met and married in Lake Havasu City, AZ in 2003. At the time Aaron was the youth pastor at Lakeview Community Church. Now 4 states and 3 children later they are blessed to call Kauai home. Along with their children, Andrew, Rachel, and Hannah they love exploring the island and spending as much time at the beach as possible.
Aaron grew up with no background in the church. He suffered a life of abuse, addiction and crime. At the age of 22 years old, he surrendered his life to become a follower of Jesus Christ. This started a journey to overcome the anger, pain, and destructive behaviors in his life. Having found victory in God, he now has a passion for serving those that are struggling through the same issues. Aaron served as a youth pastor for seven years and an associate pastor for eight years prior to coming to Kaua`i in August of 2017. He received a year of ministry training and collegiate level Bible courses at the Master’s Commission in Phoenix, AZ before entering the full time ministry in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He received his B.S. in Psychology from Washington State University in 2014.
Shannon started having a passion for graphic design in High School. In college she was blessed to work for a photographer who allowed her to learn Photoshop. After getting married she worked along side Aaron in the ministry. Her dream was to always be a stay at home mom and use her gifts for the church. Along with her creative side, she has a huge heart and desire to reach people for Jesus. You can usually find her at a coffee shop, Costco, or a grocery store talking story with complete strangers. She also loves helping women find their true beauty in Christ.

Children's Ministry Director & Elder
Sarah is from Colorado Springs, Colorado and began volunteering in children's ministry at her family's church when she was twelve years old. While in college, she got involved with a missions organization serving in Romania. She traveled to Romania every summer to work with children and teens who had been abandoned by their parents or removed from their care. After college, she lived there and served for a year. It was during this time that God revealed to her in a vision His purpose for her life: to minister to children around the world and to teach them to become disciples of Jesus Christ. In 2012, God opened the doors for her to fulfill a lifelong dream of living in Hawaii! She has been blessed to work in children's church ministry professionally for six years. Her passion is equipping small churches, church plants, and mission groups with the curriculum, training, and resources necessary to build a vibrant and effective children's ministry. On Kauai, she met and married her husband, Kalama, and they welcomed their first child in 2018.
Barry and his wife Eileen have been members of Kauai Bible Church since 1974. They have been pillars of the church for over 40 years providing leadership, guidance, and biblical wisdom. Barry is retired from a career in the Department of Human Services for the State of Hawaii. He currently serves as an Elder, Vice President of the board, and home group leader for KBC.
